MATHISON: Jean Ann Mathison (nee Jamieson) passed away on July 28th, 2014 just short of her 97th birthday. Her husband Duncan predeceased her in 1973. Jean was born on August 26th, 1917 to Clementine and Dr. Joshua Jamieson. She leaves her children, Peggy Framingham and special friend Merrill Brown, Bill (Cheryl) Mathison, Ronald (Heather) Mathison, Phyllis Kane and Bill Pepler and David (Beth) Mathison. She also leaves 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and her brother Phil (Nancy) Macmillan. Jean was a kind and loving person and in turn was loved by many. Jean loved her family, loved nature, loved to laugh and enjoyed her independence for as long as she could manage. She was inspirational in her integrity and quiet presence. She will be missed greatly. Jean and her family want the nurses and health care professionals at Hamiota Personal Care Home (Birch) to know how much they appreciated their kindness and care. A graveside service will be held on the 6th of September 2014 at 2 p.m. at the Hamiota Cemetery to celebrate Jean. Reception to follow at the Hamiota Community Centre.
