PENTON: Irene Penton (née Longrigg), beloved wife of the late Terry Penton, passed away peacefully at the Golden West Centennial Lodge, Winnipeg, MB on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at the age of 96 years. Irene will lovingly be remembered by her children: Eleanor Rock, Ken, Nancy Allen, Bruce, Bob, Brenda and Laurie. The funeral service will be held at St. Matthew’s Cathedral, 403-13th Street, on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 2:00 p.m., with viewing held prior to the service, beginning at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Terry and Irene Penton Memorial Scholarship, c/o Institutional Advancement, Brandon University, 270 - 18th Street, Brandon, MB, R7A 6A9 or to a charity of your choice.
