ROBLESKY: Bernice Charlotte Roblesky, 96, of Summerland, BC, passed away on September 25th, 2014 at the Dr. Andrew Pavilion in Summerland. Born on the farm near Rocanville, Saskatchewan on November 28th, 1917 to Erwin Perry and Anna Lyla Harrison, Bernice is survived by her sons Gerry, Ken and Bob, daughter in-laws Heidi and Wendy and grandchildren Sarah (Mark), Luke, Christian and Natasha. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph who passed away last year. Bernice was a very intelligent woman and even in her later years had a fantastic memory. She enjoyed reading history and was always interested in the lives and activities of her children and grandchildren. Bernice was a modern grandma and had her own wifi, ipad, cellphone and desktop computer. Just a few days before passing she had a great skype conversation with her grandson Luke who is presently working in Sweden. Bernice was in the nursing profession for nearly 40 years including the Children’s Hospital in Toronto, the Brandon Mental Hospital, the Brandon Sanitorium and finally at the Brandon Clinic. She was very proud of her granddaughter Sarah who followed in her footsteps and is currently at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary. Bernice lived a very long and fulfilling life and was surrounded by close family care until her passing. A private family service and burial was held in Summerland on Thursday, October 2nd, with Reverend John Briscall officiating. The family wishes to thank all of the people at Angus Place and the Dr. Andrew Pavillion and the Penticton Hospital for the friendship and care extended to Bernice in the past few years. Special thanks to Dr. Alistair Bannerman for his kindness and excellent care.
