TOWN: On Saturday, October 4, 2014 James Barry Town passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Born on February 18, 1940 and raised in the north end of Brandon, Barry was a true character until the end. He loved mischief, practical jokes and being silly! He loved a tall tale and a bargain. An electrician by trade, he thrived in the barter system and loved shopping. His flirtatious and generous nature will be remembered by young and old, family and acquaintances. Predeceased by his parents, May and Jim Town. Survived by his loving wife Elaine, his daughter Kim Bowes (Terry Davidson); his son Richard (Jasmine) Town; daughters Lori and Kelli and son Christopher; grandchildren Brooke, Mike, Kristen, Spyder, Kaitlyn, Amber-Lee, Ashleigh, Chantelle, and Cody. He leaves behind his sister, Trudy (Gord) Cable, brother John (Carole) Town and sister Kathy (Brian) McKiernan and numerous nieces and nephews. Barry chose to be cremated and wished to be remembered with the song "Four Strong Winds". A Memorial Reception took place at Memories Chapel on Friday, October 10, 2014.
