KEOWN: It is with unspeakable grief that we mourn the passing of Jennifer Dallas Keown of Brandon, who passed away with family by her side at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Sunday, November 2, 2014 at the age of 35 years. Jen was born a triplet at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary, AB. on June 26, 1979. She spent her early years living in Elkford, British Columbia, later moving to Brandon where she resided until her passing. After graduation, she attended Assiniboine Community College and obtained her Health Care Aide diploma, graduating with the Assiniboine Colleges Award of Excellence. She worked at the Assiniboine Centre for 13 years as a Health Care Aide. She was a very hard worker, who always went above and beyond for her patients and coworkers. She loved her work and was very proud of what she did. She loved to draw, watch movies, read and spend time with her family and friends. She is survived by her parents Linda Campbell and Allen Keown, sister Allison Gibson, brother Bradley Keown as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Jen was predeceased by her grandparents Dallas and Lorne Campbell and her cousin Kyla Lenton. Jen was a very kind, smart, funny and beautiful person, who loved everyone and everyone loved her. She will always be remembered for her big heart, outgoing personality, and being so full of life and energy. Her smile lit up the room! Even during her final days, Jen was always thinking of others. She touched so many lives and will be missed so much. A private celebration of Jennifers life was held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel with Arlene Robertson officiating. Honorary pallbearers were her nieces and nephew Chloe and Holly Gibson, Hailey Lily and George Keown. Donations in memory of Jennifer may be made to a charity of choice.
