SERLE: Sadly, Bernice Serle passed away November 4, 2014, six days before her 80th birthday. She was predeceased by her husband Donald, her parents Ian and Myrtle Falconer and her brother Bruce Falconer. Bernice is survived by her children: Holly, Heather (Collin), Torrance and Donalda (Dan); grandchildren Jolene (Mike), Ryan (Ashley) and Kyle; great-grandchildren Seth and Keaton; as well as her sister-in-law Lois Serle, her niece Noreen Wivchar and many more nieces, nephews and cousins. Bernice was born and grew up in Onanole and lived there while she and Don raised their children. Both worked for Parks Canada and moved to Brandon when Don retired. Bernice continued to work at various jobs in Brandon for the next few years. She enjoyed living in Brandon, especially at Lions Manor for the past several years. Bernice loved to play cards and had enjoyed curling and dancing in her younger years. She helped organize a local 4H Club in Onanole and served as a leader for five years. Going out for a walk was a favorite pastime, as was baking and listening to music. She followed politics closely and had volunteered on a campaign or two. Special thanks to Aunt Lois for her frequent visits during Bernices lengthy stay in hospital, keeping her spirits up. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date at the Erickson Cemetery. Messages of condolence may be placed at www.brockiedonovan.com.
