CARTER: Cora Blanche Carter passed away peacefully at The Tri Lake Health Centre in Killarney on Nov 13, 2014 at the age of 95 years. She was born on January 8, 1919 in the Lyons Hall District, the fourth daughter of Jim and Margaret Davidson. She married Jack Carter in 1942 and they had two children, Maureen and Bill. Blanche was widowed in 1948 and it was at this time that she moved from the farm into Killarney, where she raised her children. In 1960 she moved to Winnipeg, obtained her Health Care Aide Diploma and worked in various nursing homes. In 2002, Blanche returned to Killarney. In 2007 she became a resident of Bayside Personal Care Home where she resided, until her death. She is survived by her son William (Judy) Carter, five grandchildren; Garry, Sharon, Beverly, Scott and Darren; seven great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; four nieces and one nephew. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Jack, daughter Maureen and sisters; Florence, Janet and Laura. Her hobbies included piano playing, sewing, reading and going for long walks when she lived in Winnipeg. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, taking them to the fair and Disney movies. The funeral ceremony was held at Wheatland Chapel in Killarney on November 17, 2014. Interment followed at Killarney Cemetery.
