MATTIS: Katharina (Tina) Mattis (nee Friesen) September 27, 1921 – November 18, 2014. With love and sadness Katharina (Tina) passed away peacefully at Rideau Personal Care Home in Brandon with family by her side. She was predeceased by her husband John in April, 2000. “Oma” will be forever missed by her family; Son John (Janet), three grandchildren Kelly (Glen), Richard, Jan Marie (Brent); Son Rudy, grandchildren Elizabeth and Joey; Daughter Maggie (Ken), grandchildren Heather (Stephen), Corrine, Jill (Scott), Steven; Son Fred (Maria), grandchildren Jamie, Stewart (Elissa), as well as thirteen great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at Rideau Park for their kindness, support, and special care that mom received during the past three years. A celebration of Katharina’s life will be held Saturday, November 22, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Springfield Heights Mennonite Church, 570 Sharron Bay, Winnipeg, MB.
