McNARRY:Leon Robert (L.R.). Sept. 5, 1916, Ellice Munic., MB - Nov. 18, 2014 – Calgary, AB. Leon Robert (L.R.) McNarry of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at the age of 98 years. Bob received his B.Sc (Honours) in 1950 and his M. Sc. in 1956. Bob was a Manitoba farm boy who served during WWII in the RCAF. After the war, from 1950 to 1979, he worked as a research scientist at the National Research Council in Ottawa. Bob is survived by his children, Mary Margaret McNarry, John Robert (Jan) McNarry, David Barclay McNarry and Daniel Gordon (Barb) McNarry; grandchildren, Alan John McNarry, Brian Andrew (Nikki) McNarry, Justin Mellin, Meagan Laura Jean McNarry, and Sarah Irene McNarry. He was predeceased by his loving wife Mavis Laura Jean McNarry (nee Reid); and by his siblings Edgar Garnet McNarry, Ruth (Alan) Meldrum and Mary Kathleen (Ed) Wilson.
