QUINN: Shelagh Elizabeth Quinn passed away suddenly at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Thursday, November 27, 2014 at the age of 60. Shelagh lived her life in Brandon, going to school at the Lions School and then George Fitton School when the School Division took over special education. After Shelagh reached adulthood, she attended COR Enterprises for the duration of her life. There, she was treated royally and enjoyed every day working with her peers. Shelagh swam with Special Olympics, winning numerous medals and continued to swim until the last few years. She enjoyed bowling until the time of her death. Shelagh will be lovingly remembered by her sister Maureen (Lloyd) Lee, brother Michael (Susan) Quinn, sisters -in-law Sue Quinn and Annemarie Quinn, niece Joanne (Jerry) Nehring, nephew Paul (Renee Maillet) Lee, and numerous other nieces and nephews as well as her extended family from Westman Opportunities (Shelagh’s Group Home). She was predeceased by her parents, two brothers, Jack and Jim and a nephew, Jeffrey Lee. Special thanks to all the staff at Shelagh’s group home for their loving care. Prayers were held December 1, 2014 at Brockie Donovan Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 with Father Patrick Neufeld as Celebrant. Interment followed at the Brandon Cemetery.
