BOLLMAN: Teresa Dawn Bollman passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at the Portage District General Hospital, after a brief but intense battle with Cancer. Teresa is survived by her husband Mark, son Alex, and daughter Larryn; parents Edith and Larry Anderson; brother Michael, sister-in-law Teresa, nephews Caleb and Ryan; brother–in-law Doug Bollman, nephew Nicolas and niece Alicia; Grandma Lilla Wright; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins; as well as, Noreen Ardron, a secondary caregiver, affectionately known as her second mom. She was predeceased by her mother and father in law Mary & Al Bollman; grandfather Arthur Wright and grandparents Isabelle & Duncan Anderson. Teresa was born April 28, 1972 at Neepawa Memorial Hospital. She grew up and attended school (Kindergarten – Grade 12) in Carberry, graduating in 1990. Teresa married her husband Mark Bollman on June 22, 1996. Teresa and Mark’s first child, Alex was born on January 31, 1994, and their second child Larryn was born May 31, 2007. Teresa started her career by operating a home daycare, as it allowed her to spend quality time with her son during his preschool years. She then went on to work at Best West Pet Foods, followed by Tim Hortons. In pursuit of her true calling, Teresa went down to part-time at Tim Hortons while working to obtain her Early Childhood Educator Degree from Red River Community College. After graduating, Teresa worked at Portage Day Care until becoming too ill to work. Of central importance to Teresa’s life were her husband and children. They especially treasured and enjoyed their vacation times together. Some of Teresa’s favorite vacation spots included the mountains and Canmore, Alberta, as well as the family cabin at Otter Lake, Manitoba. Another activity that brought Teresa a lot of enjoyment was attending rock concerts with her husband Mark and son Alex. Teresa’s love of music, in particular guitar music, was passed along to her son Alex. Teresa encouraged and enjoyed listening to Alex play guitar. Over the years, Teresa made a meaningful impact in the lives of many children through her daycare work. By nature, Teresa was a generous, caring individual, who met everyone with a smile and compassion. Teresa was known for her positive outlook, and tenacious disposition. Mark, Alex, and Larryn would like to thank all the friends and family that have helped them throughout this difficult time; as well as, the staff of Manitoba Cancer Care for their compassion and great service. A Memorial Service was held on Monday, December 8, 2014 at the Herman Prior Centre in Portage la Prairie, MB.
