DARR: January 26, 1927 - December 9, 2014. On December 9, 2014 Guenther Darr passed away peacefully at the Brandon Regional Health Centre following a lengthy illness. Leaving behind to miss and remember with love, is his wife Mary of 56 years, sons David (Jody) and Douglas (Jo-Anne) and stepchildren: Donald Hudson, Chris (Terry) Fisher and Colleen (Terry) Kitson and numerous grandchildren: Mitchell, Logan, Dillon, Lindsay, Jalna (Bob), Charity (Steven), Charlie, Michelle (Jay), Laura (Ryan), Daniel (Megan) and Donald as well as special friends Phyllis and Murray Frank. Born in Mosbach, Germany, Guenther served in WW2. After the war he came to Canada and settled in Brandon at the age of 24. He worked at Pool Packers for 18 years and then in construction until he retired at the age of 65. Guenthers hobbies included woodworking, darts and doing crossword puzzles, but most of all, he loved to garden and spend time with his family and friends. A private family gathering took place on Friday, December 12, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at the Brandon Cemetery. We thank the Brandon Regional Health Centre and the Rehabilitation Centre for his care. We would also like to thank John (Sonny) Moroz of Brockie Donovan for the wonderful service and care he provided to the family.Forever in our hearts, always in our memories.
