VICKERY: Margaret Jennis Vickery, formerly of the family farm north west of Rivers, MB, passed away at the Assiniboine Centre in Brandon on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at the age of 67 years. Margaret Vickery (née Russell) was born on March 12, 1938 to Mary (née Dankewich) of Brandon, MB and John Russell of Justice, MB, formerly of Scotland in Brandon, MB. She was predeceased by her parents John and Mary Russell, her sisters Cornelia, Betty, Charlotte, her brother Robert “Bobby” and step-brother Myron Young of Calgary, AB. Margaret is survived by her husband of 52 years, Wrey Vickery and their sons Garth (Nadine) and Guy (Lana). Brother William “Billy” (Audrey) and their family, nephew Terry Russell of Peace River, AB, nieces Sharon, Caroline and Vivian of Isle of Man, cousins Patt (John) Louchuk of Buffalo Point, MB, Sonia-june Hill of Kenora, ON and Michael Malyk of Winnipeg, MB. Margaret also leaves to mourn her five grandchildren and six great grandchildren, plus many friends and relatives near and far. A service to celebrate Margaret’s life was held at the Rivers United Church on Thursday, December 18, 2014 with Rev. Glenna Beauchamp officiating. Her cousin Patsy Louchuk read a touching eulogy to Margaret. Interment was held prior to the service at the Rivers Cemetery. Pallbearers were her two sons Garth and Guy Vickery, Tyler Spring, Terry Russell, Jason Vickery and Jarett Plewes.
