PINEO: Margaret Helen Pineo (nee Munro) passed away at the Assiniboine Centre on Saturday, November 29, 2014. "Peg" was born in Brandon to John and Florence Munro, on November 6, 1922, a year after her brother John. After graduating, Peg took her secretarial course in Winnipeg and returned home to work at the Unemployment Centre, where she stayed for 36 years until her retirement. Peg married Charles Pineo in 1987, and they were great companions until his death in 2005. Peg was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Legion, and enjoyed volunteering for the gift shop at the BRHA for 13 years. She will be remembered for her kind heart, her words of advice, and always an interest in what John's kids and Chuck's kids were doing. Peg is survived by niece Shirley (Jim Kauk); nephews Bill (Juanita) Munro, Ken (Shawna) Munro, Ed Munro; great nieces and nephews, and stepchildren Brenda (John) Burgess, Bob (Gaye) Pineo, Margaret (Ted) Jones, Jim Pineo, grandchildren and great grandchildren. A family service has taken place, as Peg wanted. Urn bearers were Sarah Burgess and Jill Stewart. Interment followed at the Brandon Cemetery.
