MICHIE: Jessie Melissa Michie (Stephens) It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and friend at the Boundary Trails hospital on December 27th, 2014 at the age of 92. Millie was born and raised in Griswold, Manitoba . She married Robert Michie in 1942, and together they raised 6 children. Millie was an avid sports fan. She played tennis, baseball and loved to curl. In her later years she watched all the sports on TV. She knit afghans for her children and grandchildren. Millie loved to do crossword puzzles and it was hard to find one that she couldn’t master. Mom used to say that we all saved our ironing for when she came to visit, and when she left it was always done. Mom had a great sense of humour, and always kept us on our toes. She was an avid reader, and loved watching horror movies. Millie was predeceased by husband Robert , grandson Colton Wanner and great-granddaughter baby Stella Finnie.. Left to cherish her memory are her children Judy (Gerry) Isabey, Doug (Lynda) Michie, Bobbi (Michael) Wanner, Becky (Brian) Leonard, Stan Michie, Dale (Kathy) Michie. Grandchildren Jacquie(Robert Bramley, Melanie Madsen, Blair (April) Isabey, Shelly (Trevor)Juby, Brent (Danielle) Michie, Carly (Clarke) Deacon, Cameron Wanner, Justin, Joel, Callie Leonard, Kristine Michie, Nicole (Jonathan) Harvey, Chad Michie, Rachelle (Jason) Finnie, Jessica (Clint) Martin, Nicolas , Rhett Wall, and 9 great-grandchildren. As per Millie’s request there will be no funeral, she will be placed to rest in the family plot at the Griswold Cemetery at a private graveside service at a later date. If friends wish donations can be made in Millie’s Memory to The Salvation Army or the Boyne Lodge in Carman, Manitoba. Doyle’s Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements. www.doylesfuneralchapel.com
