NAISMITH: Norma Yvonne (Calvert) Naismith passed away January 1, 2015 at Third Crossing Manor at the age of 79. Norma was born on January 21, 1935 to Jack and Germaine, the oldest of 3 children. She met Harvey and was married to him for 50 years. They had two children Donna and Darell. Norma had many jobs, form working at MTS as an operator, house cleaner for We Care, babysitter, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She would do anything for anyone at the drop of a hat. Her true giving spirit shone at Christmastime. She loved watching everyone opening those gifts and then eating the feast that was prepared for everyone. She loved children. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy. She kept everything given or drawn by them. Norma was predeceased by her husband Harvey; parents Jack & Germaine; parents-in-law Bert & Linda; sister-in-law Betty; brothers-in-law Mick Tapp and Matt Lehocky. She is survived by her children Donna and Darrel (Barb); grandchildren Shawn (Corissa), Eric (Alysia), Aaron (April), Toni (Nathan), Brent and Amy; great grandchildren Tristan, Logan, Cassidy, Avery and Kale; brother Henry (Ruby); sister Muriel (Tom) as well as 2 sisters-in-law and 1 brother-in-law and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Clarke’s Funeral Chapel, Gladstone with Pastor Colin Bell officiating.
