GORRIE: It is with heartfelt sorrow we announce the sudden death of Linda Mae Gorrie, with her mother, Treva, at her side, on Sunday, January 4, 2015. Linda was born in Brandon on October 5, 1944 where she grew up attending Central School and Wheat City Business College. She was a member of Central United Church. Many summers were spent at Clear Lake and Gimli. When she went to work in Winnipeg, she enjoyed all the activities and attractions of the city. Recently, she lived at Riverheights Terrace and enjoyed her good friends there. Linda was predeceased by her father Elwood (2002) and infant brother, David. She leaves to mourn her mother Treva, brother Charles and wife Jocelyn, nephews Andrew and Kent and grandnephew, Jack. A Celebration of Linda’s Life was held at Central United Church on Friday, January 9, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Harvey Hurren officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in memory of Linda may be made to Central United Church, 327-8th Street, Brandon, MB, R7A 3X5 or to a charity of choice.
