EDWARDS: Mr. Verne Edwards of Melita, and formerly of Pipestone, passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at the age of 78. Verne is survived by his three daughters, Tabetha of Pipestone, Charlotte and Pamela both of Brandon; six siblings, Lyall (Francis) Edwards of Fort St. John, BC., Harold Edwards (Lucy Primeau) of Red Cliff, AB., Fred (Ann) Edwards of Silver Ridge, MB., Gladys (Doug) Campion of Pipestone, Joan Fletcher of Melita, and Mel (Penny) Edwards of Pipestone; brother- in-law, John Critchlow of Virden; also numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Bob & Gertie Edwards, wife, Glenis; brother, Blake (Em) Edwards; sister, Evelyn Critchlow; nephew, Warren Edwards. A Funeral Service will be held at the Pipestone Community Hall on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 2:00 pm. Reverend Allan Gairns will officiate. Burial will take place at the Pipestone Cemetery.
