NEILSON: James William. Jim Neilson, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Calgary, AB, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Grande Prairie, AB at the age of 72 years. He was born on June 7, 1942 in Souris, MB. Jim loved playing and listening to music and visiting his many friends and family. Jim was known for his love of music and singing, he could always tell a great story and laugh; he took great joy in his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by so many, too many to mention, including his many children and siblings. Everyone that met him will remember his amazing spirit and humour. He is predeceased by his father George, mother Joan, brothers Bruce and Charlie and sisters Gloria and Evelyn. A Memorial service will be held on Thursday January 15, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Dieppe Manor in Grande Prairie (9428 121 Ave). Memorial Donations may be made in loving memory of Jim to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta (Unit 109, 10126 – 120 Ave, Grande Prairie AB, T8V 8H9).
