BELCHER: Wendy passed away after a short but valiant fight with cancer in Calgary, AB on January 10, 2015 at the age of 55 years. She will be lovingly missed by Robert, her high school sweetheart, the love of her life and her husband of 33 years. Wendy will also be dearly remembered by her father Melvin McManes, sisters Dorothy Bradford and Patricia (Mike) Ryan, brother Donald (Carol) McManes, sister in laws Karen (Doug) Northam, Diane (Jim) Kuculym, Lisa (Glen) Kingdon and brother in laws Bruce and Eric (Sue) and all of their many children. She will also be dearly missed by her dear friends, Larry and Sue Garnet and family. Wendy also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her mother Margery (Barnes), brother Glen, brother in law Jim Bradford, mother and father in laws Bella and Jack Belcher. Wendy loved life and touched many, many lives. She was born and raised in Alexander, Manitoba and attended Brandon University and Olds College and then remained in Calgary where she had a few jobs before her career at the Canadian Gelbvieh Cattle Association. Wendy loved camping with horses and ATVs in the scenic mountains of Alberta where she could take pictures of wildlife, flowers and scenery. A Celebration of Wendys Life will be held at Trinity United Church, 1515 6 Street, Brandon, MB on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to the Tom Baker Centre 1331 29 Street N.W., Calgary, A.B.
