POOLE: It is with sorrow we announce the passing of Helen Poole on Sat. January 17, 2015 at Country Meadows Personal Care Home in Neepawa, MB. Helen Elizabeth McCracken was born May 7, 1917 in the Birnie area to Boyd & Jessie McCracken. She married Carman Poole on December 10, 1940. He predeceased her in 2004. She is survived by her five daughters, Judy (Gord) Ashcroft, Brenda Hodges, Diana (Harold) Gilleshammer, Janet (Don) McGillivray, Nancy (Don) Flynn, 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, sister- in-law Rowena McCracken. She was predeceased by brother Wib McCracken and sister Jean Birnie. Helen took an active part in community activities at Kelwood during her daughters younger years and enjoyed dancing, sewing, crafts & family. She was a willing partner in all of Dad's business ventures. A celebration of Helens' life will be held Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Neepawa United Church at 2:00 pm. White's Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
