KLASSEN: Following a brief illness, Jake Klassen, age 90 years, passed away peacefully at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Jake was born on October 27, 1924 and passed into the presence of the Lord on January 20, 2015. He raised his family and farmed in the Alexander area for twenty-eight years, then moved to Brandon where he resided till his death. Jake will be greatly missed by his loving wife Nettie; four sons Ralph (Barb), Ernie (Marilyn), Lawrence and Norm (Anne); three daughters Joyce (Bob), Rita (Paul) and Lynda; thirteen grandchildren: Jennifer (Joel), Caroline, Laura (Mitch), Mark, Daniel (Jessica), David (Boyda), Aidan, Conor, Nicholas, Matthew (Marie), Bryton, Makyla, James and one step grandson John (Jennifer); three great grandchildren Sully, Thorin, Kaden and three step great grandchildren Callie, Graeme, and Logan. A Celebration of Jake's Life will be held at Faith Fellowship Baptist Church, 4 Willowdale Crescent, on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. A private family interment will be at the Alexander Cemetery. If friends desire, donations may be made to the Turtle Mountain Bible Camp, Box 1198, Boissevain, Manitoba, R0K 0E0 or a camp of your choosing.
