YARISH: It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Douglas Allan Yarish on January 30, 2015. Left to cherish Dougs memory are his loving wife, Yvonne, his dear children Hayley and Jordan Yarish; his mother, Ruby; three brothers, David and Brad of Brandon, Bruce of Vancouver, B.C., sister, Leanne Chumley- Craig of Elmira, Ontario; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews (especially, Bret and Brian, Wyatt and Morgan, and Andrew), extended family, and friends. He was predeceased by his father Dave, and, just last year, his dear brother Paul (Cindy). Doug was born in Brandon, MB on March 10, 1961, where he was raised and educated. He worked for many years for M.P.I. and Great West Life. Doug was passionate about sports in general, and hockey in particular and was an excellent hockey player in his own right, playing Junior Hockey with the Brandon Travellers the Flin Flon Bombers and the Portage la Prairie Terriers. He had an uncanny ability to manipulate numbers and would always have the answers before others were able to pull out their calculators. Friends and family can attest to Dougs love of cooking as they enjoyed many wonderful feasts he prepared for them over the years. Hayley and Jordan were his pride and joy and he was so happy they shared his love of sports when he coached both of them in hockey and soccer during their growing years. He loved to go on vacation with Yvonne and his precious children. He will be missed by many. A celebration of Dougs Life will be held on Sunday, February 8, at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard, Winnipeg, Manitoba. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice.Thomson In the ParK204-925-1120Condolences may be sent to www.thomsoninthepark.com
