They wintered for twenty-three years in Mesa, Arizona. In 2006, John and Ann moved from Russell to an apartment in Brandon. Last summer they decided to sell their place down south and they moved into assisted living in Brandon where they enjoyed the various activities and each other's company. John was predeceased by his first wife Irene; parents Nick and Olga and brothers William, Alex and Walter. He is survived by his wife Ann; step-children Janice (Les) Dewar, Lorna Gemmill, Robert (Candace) Chandler and John (Jane) Chandler; grandchildren Jocelyn (Matt) Lehotsky and their children Heidi and Jeremy; Jacqueline Dewar, Chandler and Brittney Gemmill, Troy Chandler, Austin and Amy Chandler.
