OSBORNE: Arthur Ernest Nov. 21, 1922 March 6, 2015 Arthur passed away on Friday, March 6, 2015 at age 92 with his family nearby. Art was born in Brandon, Manitoba. He graduated from the University of Manitoba with a degree in Agriculture Economics in 1945. He served in the U of M Regiment of the Canadian Mounted Rifles Reserve. He worked as a newspaper reporter for the Winnipeg Tribune, an adjuster for the Wawanesa Mutual Insurance Company, a licensed projectionist, and a research technician at the Brandon Agriculture Research Station. He and Evelyn moved to Calgary in 1987. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Evelyn; son, Edward (Lynne); daughter, Ellen; grandsons, Andrew Osborne (Katrina) and Patrick Smook (Jen); granddaughters, Meagan Ferguson (Brandon), Adrienne Ewert (Geoff and great grandson Callum) and Nancy Lentz; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Art was predeceased by his sister Elsie McDonald (Brandon, MB). Sincere thanks to his caregivers at Trinity Lodge and Chinook Care Centre. A Celebration of Arts Life will take place at Eden Brook Funeral Home (17th Ave & Lower Springbank Rd. S.W.) on Sunday, March 15, 2015 from 1:00 3:30 P.M.
