REY: Dustin. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dustin, surrounded by family, on Monday, March 2, 2015 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Dustin was born on June 5, 1980 in Brandon, Manitoba. He received his education at St. Augustine's School and Crocus Plains High School. As a child, Dustin enjoyed skating at the rink, playing organized hockey, soccer, and baseball. He loved spending summers at the lake and the mountains while living in B.C. for eight years. He was a skilled carpenter and worked at roofing, siding, but most recently, built fences with J and M Industries. Dustin enjoyed hockey, golfing, fishing, camping, bar-b-qing, family get-togethers, hanging out with family and friends and doing activities with Michelle and Piper. One of Dustin's attributes was his thoughtfulness and one way he showed this was in sponsoring a child in need. He was also easy going, very punctual, passionate about work, and always lending a hand. Dustin was very proud of his family and will be deeply missed by his wife Michelle Campbell; daughter Piper Rey; parents Mike and Kim Rey; brothers Denny and Jeremey and sister April, as well as nieces and nephew. He is also remembered by his grandparents Ken and Kay Smith, Georges and Iris Rey, many aunts, uncles and cousins. The Ceremony to Celebrate Dustin's Life was held at Central United Church on Saturday, March 7, 2015. Mr. Mike Waddell officiated. Urn Bearers were his siblings, Denny, April and Jeremey Rey. If friends so desire, donations in memory of Dustin may be made to CancerCare Manitoba 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3E 0V9. Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.memorieschapel.com.
