Terry leaves to mourn her passing husband Bill, sons Colin of Killarney, and Curtis (Susan) of Brandon, daughter Erin of Winnipeg, Mother Peggy Vrooman of Belmont, her siblings Kevin (Cathy) Vrooman of Belmont, Patti (Robert) Wanless of Belmont, Dean Vrooman of Belmont, Brenda (Maurice) Hutlet of Brandon, Cathy (Brian) Hetherington of Belmont, Shelley (Dave) Vertz of Glenboro , sisters in laws Jean (Paul) Cuvelier of Dunrea and Dorothy Enns of Morris and several nieces and nephews. Terry was predeceased by her father Clare Vrooman (June 2001), Sister in Law Janice Vrooman (September 2009), Grandparents Cecil and Vera Vrooman and Terrick and Muriel Hamilton, Father in law Cecil Myers (June 2013) Mother in law Joan Myers (October 2014) and Brother-in- law Bill Enns (May 2012). Terry was born the eldest child to Clare and Peggy Vrooman on January 23, 1956. She grew up on the Vrooman family farm (which has been in the family since 1882). She was educated in Belmont and Glenboro schools. Terry, being the eldest child in a large family, became her mothers helper for cooking, cleaning and laundry. In July 1975, she started working for the Bank of Montreal in Belmont. Terry married Bill Myers on May 20th 1978 and they made their home at Belmont. Their twin boys Colin and Curtis were born in 1980 and their daughter Erin was born in 1984. Terry, Bill and the kids moved to Killarney in 1995. Terry continued to work in Belmont until 2001 for the Bank of Montreal and later Westoba Credit Union when Westoba purchased the Bank of Montreal. When Terry and Bill moved to Brandon in 2001 she was transferred to Westoba Branch at 34thstreet and she later worked for the company Call Centre. This year would have marked her 40th anniversary in the banking business. Terry was devoted to her family. She never missed a hockey game, figure skating event, concerts, or special occasion helping with any task she could to make these events successful. When the children were younger she would plan large birthday parties inviting all the children in their grade because she did not want anyone to be left out. Terry was an excellent baker and cook and one of her great enjoyments was to plan and prepare meals for large family gatherings. Recently she learned to make Ukrainian cabbage rolls and perogies from her daughter in law Susan. Terry enjoyed being part of and living in a small community. Our home was always open and welcoming to all the kids friends and anyone else. She was always making a cake or a loaf of sandwiches for a function at the church, the rink or the community hall. Over the years Terry taught Sunday school and 4H. She was a member of the Rae Rebekah Lodge for several years. She took courses in Ceramics and became a certified Ceramic teacher. She held Ceramics classes from a classroom in her basement 2 nights a week. Terry was very fond of sports. When Terry and Bill moved to Brandon they had season tickets for the Wheat Kings games for many years. She rarely missed a curling game or a Jets game on TV. She even managed to get to a few Jets games in Winnipeg. In keeping with Terrys wishes, a private family service was held at Knox United Church in Belmont on February 19, 2015 with Rev. Irene Onuch Penhale officiating. Internment followed at Hillside Cemetery Belmont. A Memorial Reception followed at the Belmont Community Hall for all Friends and Relatives.
