WILKINSON: Darlene (Dee) Evelyn Wilkinson, beloved wife of the late Edwin (Ed) Wilkinson passed away suddenly on May 16, 2015 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Dee was born on December 12, 1932 in Brandon and resided in the Nesbitt area with her parents Charles and Evelyn Little and her brothers Delbert, Kenton, and Almon. Dee married Ed and they had 4 children Rick, Darcy, Lori and Tracy. She was predeceased by her husband Ed, parents Charlie and Evelyn and brothers Delbert, Kenton and Almon. Dee worked in Brandon at the North Hill and Victoria Inns. Ed and Dee also owned the Dreamland Motel in Melita and the Midway Motel in Brandon. Dee moved to Hobb’s Manor after Ed’s passing and enjoyed her retirement traveling and being involved in the Hobb’s Manor community. Dee also loved family get-togethers and will be sorely missed. She is survived by her children, Rick (Darla), Darcy (Pam), Lori (Kevin) and Tracey (Sandra). She has 5 grandchildren Troy, Trevor, Brett (Katherine), Amanda (Nicholas), Stacy (Eric) and 4 great-grandchildren Colton, Keira, Dylan and Olivia. A celebration of Dee’s life has been held and if friends so desire donations in memory of Dee may be made to a charity of their choice.
