BEAUCHAMP: Irene Georgina Beauchamp (Hutchinson). It is with great sorrow the family of Irene announces her passing on May 31, 2015 at Eastholme, in Powassan, ON. She will be remembered by her daughters: Arline (John) of Sundridge, ON and Paddy (Kevin) of Marathon, ON, along with four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren plus many nieces and nephews. She is survived by her loving cousins: Lorraine Thompson, Winnipeg, Rowena Hayball, Carberry, Mary Kitchen, Delhi, ON, Phyllis Matthews, London, ON, Doris Hindmarsh, Manor, SK, Bill Dutton (Donna), Qualicum Beach, BC. She was predeceased by her husband Bruno in May 1982, her parents Janey and Lyle Hutchinson (Brandon, MB) and her sisters Iva, Jean and Florence. Irene was born on September 21, 1917 on 1st Street, Brandon, MB. As a young girl her favorite activities were speed skating on the Assiniboine River and playing hockey. She started her career with Eatons Catalogue office in Brandon, and in 1940 moved to North Bay to run the Childrens Department of Eatons, one of her duties was to order the clothing for the Dionne Quints. She was proud to live in her home on Brooke Street in North Bay till 90 years of age. She made many life-long neighbors and friends in North Bay, ON. She was very proud of her grandchildren and happy to see them succeed in their own lives.
