BOYCE: The death of Ivan "Garry" Boyce occurred on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Born December 1, 1937 at Virden Manitoba, Garry attended school in Brandon. At age 17, he went to work for Manco Dairies. In earlier days he did home deliveries by horse and carriage. Later on he moved to the sales department, where he developed many lifelong friends through his coworkers and clients. During the summers, Garry enjoyed life with family and friends at his cabin at Clear Lake. After retiring from Dairyland in February 1997, he enjoyed gardening, camping trips, as well as travelling abroad to the States, across Spain, Cuba, Hawaii and Dominican Republic, eventually going on to enjoy Triple 7 bus tours, meeting many friends along the way. He and his wife Mary sold their home and moved into the Lions Manor, where he easily made new friends and enjoyed nine years in the Manor until he was diagnosed with cancer in 2014. Garry is survived by his wife Mary of 24 years; daughter Debra; stepchildren Linda and Tony, and Michael; brother in-law Jack Webb; Five grandchildren: Richard, Ian, Jessica and Adam, Jerrica, and Michael, as well two great-grandchildren. He was fondly known as Uncle Dingbat to many nieces and nephews. Garry was predeceased by four brothers and three sisters, as well as his step-son, Stephen. A Memorial Reception will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North, on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m..
