WASYLUK: Peter John, January 7, 1954 – February 5, 2015. Passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre following a brief illness at the age of 61. Peter was predeceased by his parents, Harry in 1978 and Olga in 1994. He will lovingly be remembered by his sister Mary Ann Patterson (Earl) and niece Lisa (Tom) and great nephew Landon, nephew Les (Jen) and great nephew Lennox of Brandon and sister Mabel Kole (Chuck) and nieces Charlene (Darin) and Donna (Jesse) of Kelowna. He also leaves behind his Uncle Bill Wasyluk (Nell) and Auntie Mary and Auntie Anne of Wadena, Saskatchewan, Auntie Jean Burnell of Calgary as well as many cousins and friends. Peter was born and lived his life in Brandon starting work at 7 Up as a teenager. He then worked with McGavins Bakery for many years before starting with Wheat City Concrete in 1997 where he remained until his death. He was always the first person to lend a hand when needed or a sympathetic ear. His greatest joy in life was the outdoors whether it was summer or winter. His thought of a great day was gathering around a fire at night visiting and relaxing with family and friends, after a day of fishing, boating, hunting, quading while camping or just in his back yard. A private family service will be held at the Brandon Cemetery on 8 August 2015 at 11 a.m. with Eulogists Blair Cairns, Darol Solomon and Randy Vogt with a Celebration of Life open house at 639 Franklin Street at 1 P.M. Flowers are gratefully declined and those wishing to do so may make a donation in Pete’s name to a charity of their choice.
