PLANTE: It is with great regret the family of Darcy Kenneth Plante of Brandon, announce his passing on Sunday, August 9, 2015. Darcy was born at Rossburn, Manitoba on July 2, 1919. Darcy was a World War 2 Veteran having served with the 5th Armoured Division in Italy, France and Germany. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for 65 years. Darcy is survived by his daughter Joan Reich, son-in-law Mel, grandson Brent (Sherry), great grandsons Holden and Hayden and his sister Margaret (Peggy) Gray of Sechelt, BC. Darcy is also survived by his brother-in-law Bill McIntosh (Ethel) of Vancouver and his sister-in-law Ruth McIntosh of Flin Flon. Darcy is also survived by his special friend and companion Kae Demond, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Darcy was predeceased by his parents Leonard and Florence Plante, his first wife Dorothy (McIntosh) Plante. His brothers Jack Plante, Fred Plante, his sister-in-law Hazel Plante and second wife Betty (Hamilton) Plante. Funeral Service will be held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332-8th Street, on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at 2:30 with Arlene Robertson officiating.
