MASSINA: On Monday, September 7, 2015, Phyllis Mabel Massina, of Brandon, passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Phyllis was born March 9, 1932 in Deloraine, Manitoba, and completed her education in Brandon. She met the love of her life, Reg, and they were married in 1949. Phyllis worked at the Brandon Mental Health Centre as well as at the Husky Restaurant. A love for animals led her to volunteer at the Brandon Humane Society, eventually becoming the Secretary-Treasurer. A favourite past-time was bowling and Phyllis served as President of the bowling league. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Left to cherish Phyllis' memory are her husband Reg; son Gary (Kathryn), Sean (Jen) and Ryan; son Ted (Gina), Kelly, Dallas (Brandi); great-grandchildren Taylor and Austin; brothers, Bill (Lucille) and family, Jim (Keri) and family; sister-in-law Shirley Burton and sister-in-law Jessie Roberts as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Ernest and Mabel Burton, and brothers Art and Ed. The Ceremony to Celebrate Phyllis' Life will be held at Memories Chapel, 330 18th Street North, on Monday, September 14, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Sam Souza officiating.
