CROWE: Phillip Crowe. December 15, 1947 September 19, 2015. Phil passed away suddenly at the HSC on Saturday, Sept. 19 at the age of 67. Phil was born in Hartney, MB, where he lived until going to college. After receiving his Bachelor of Education at the U of M, he started his teaching career in Elm Creek. A few years later, he moved to Baldur, where he made his home and taught high school for over 30 years. There he met his wife, Val. They were married for 37 years. After retiring from teaching Phil did a lot of volunteer work. He loved working with kids of all ages. He was very involved with the Canadian Pony Club where he acted as the Treasurer for many years. He was also very involved with the Manitoba Horse Trials. Phil was predeceased by his mother and his father, Bud and Rollie Crowe. He is survived by his wife, Val, his younger brother Dave and sister -in-law Joan, his older brother Brian, his cousin Suzanne (Craig), as well as his 2 nephews, Jon and Geoff and his grandnephew Lind and his grandniece Cicelly. A celebration of Phils life will be held at the Thomson Funeral Home on Saturday, Sept. 26th at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Pony Club or the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
