HIRST: Mayme Maxine. Peacefully on October 5th, at the Hamiota Health Centre with family at her side. She was born on July 21, 1935 at Olha, MB to Delymar and Mary Johnston. She leaves surviving her beloved partner Robert McWhirter; sons Bob (Lorraine), Murray (Tracy), Dana (Wendy); grandchildren Brad, Trent (Juli), Greg Hirst, Charlene (Scott) McGregor, Shannon (Cory) Telfer, Brendon (Erin), Geoffrey Hirst; great grandchildren Theron, Landon, Jesse McGregor, McKennah, Graham, Damin Telfer, Madison Cutler, Hayden and Elaina Hirst; sisters Bernice (Don) Elliott, Gail (Ivan) Strain; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Allan Hirst; parents Delymar and Mary Johnston; Gordon Hirst; Lorelie and Ralph Bogle. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Oct 10th at 2:00pm at the Crandall Hall, Crandall, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mayme’s memory to the Hamiota Lions Club, Box 1, Hamiota, MB, R0M 0T0 or to the Canadian Diabetes Association, A1 – 800 Rosser Avenue, Brandon, MB, R7A 6N5.
