THORNTON: Robert Bruce Thornton of Birtle passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at his residence at the age of the age of 91 years. Bruce was predeceased by his wife Ruth (nee Ellerington), sons: Robert Allen and David Bruce. Survived by his daughter JoAnne (Dennis), grandchildren: Rachelle (Mark), David (Colette), Robert (Brandy), great grandchildren: Charlotte, Claire, Davin, and Preston. The funeral service will be held at St. George’s Anglican Church, Birtle, on Tuesday, October 27, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. with Dwight Stewart officiating.
