RIESMEYER: Ed Riesmeyer passed away peacefully, with his family by his side at the Assiniboine Centre on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at the age of 65 years. Ed will be lovingly remembered by his wife Elaine of 44 years, daughter Kim (Brian), son Jason (Katelyn) and his three beautiful grandchildren, Hailey, Rowan and Tripp. Also cherishing his memory are sisters Corrie (Dan), Alicia (Janik), brothers Rob (Yvonne) and John and numerous nieces and nephews. Ed was an avid hunter, a passion that he passed on to his children. He was also very passionate about scuba diving and became a Master Scuba Diving Instructor in 2001, introducing and training hundreds of students to become scuba divers. In keeping with Ed's wishes, a private family service has taken place. A Come and Go Reception will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the Sprucewoods Community Hall, 5 Woods Avenue, Sprucewoods (Shilo), MB from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a time of reflection at 2:30 p.m. Donations in memory of Ed may be made to the Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation - Palliative Care, 150 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, MB, R7A 2B3.
