SMITH: Linda Smith (née Boyko) passed away at her residence, Rideau Park Personal Care Home, on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at the age of 67 years. Linda was born May 9, 1948 in Dauphin, Manitoba. Her parents were Bill and Nellie Boyko. Linda attended Grandview School until grade 10. From 1991-2006, she worked as a housekeeper at the Royal Oak Inn. Linda lived in Germany for 4 ? years and her son Shawn was born there. On April 16, 1987 Linda married Garry Smith at the Brandon Court House, Brandon, Manitoba. Linda will lovingly be remembered by her son Shawn (Angela) Berkshire and their children Mitchell and Marisa of Brandon; stepchildren Garth (Cheryl) and their daughters Lindsay and Lee Ann; Mark (Cheryl) and their daughter Kayla. She is also survived by her younger brother Alan (Linda) and their three daughters Tamara, Kristy and Candace, of Dauphin. On October 2, 2013 Linda moved into Rideau Park. She enjoyed playing cards with Garry who was very attentive and came to visit her every day. A Celebration of Linda’s Life will be held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332-8th Street, on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Funeral Celebrant, Kim Lewarne, officiating. Interment will follow at the Brandon Cemetery. Donations in memory of Linda may be made to Rideau Park Personal Care Home c/o BRHC Accounts Receivable, 150 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, MB, R7A 2B3.
