Muriel WAINWRIGHT

WAINWRIGHT: Muriel Jean Wainwright passed away with family by her side on December 14, 2015 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Muriel was born on November 8, 1923 in Treherne to Richard and Pearl Hector. She was raised and went to school in Wawanesa, MB. She enlisted in the Air Force during WWII. Muriel married Harold (Sparky) and had four children. She was a stay at home mom who enjoyed baking and knitting. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. There were always treats for them - even after moving into Dinsdale Personal Care Home. Muriel is survived by daughter Cheryl (Don), son Richard (Joan), eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Allene (Ted) Douglas and Earla Blackwell as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Harold (January 2015), sons James (December 2003) and David (August 2008) and her sister Lorna Marsh (July 2001). A private family service will be held in the spring of 2016. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Muriel may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 415-1st Street, Brandon, MB, R7A 3N9 or the Dinsdale Personal Care Home, 510-6th Street, Brandon, MB, R7A 3N9.
