DEACON: Mary St. Clair (née Armstrong) died peacefully on December 17th in Reston in her 95th year. She was born in Reston in 1921, and was predeceased her parents, Lloyd and Mary (Guthrie) Armstrong, by Ronald James Deacon, her husband of 46 years, and by her brother Murray and her sister Beth. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She lived in many places in Canada, including Brandon, Armstrong ON, Yorkton, and Prince George BC, before retiring with Ron to Reston, where she enjoyed cooking and gardening, and became a strong supporter of St. John’s Church. She loved working as a nurse’s aide at the Reston hospital until her retirement in 1988. She is survived by son Jim and daughter Linda, grandchildren Richard, Alison, Claire, and Ruth, and great- grandchildren Reston, Parker, Juliana, Jackson, James, and Henry. Funeral services will be held at St. John’s, Reston, on Tuesday December 29th at 2:00 pm.
