MAW: Wreatha Evelyn (nee Stott), September 1, 1947 - December 30, 2015. I left you tonight but please don’t cry for me. My long painful journey and battle with MS is over. I will be someplace where I can walk in the garden and get my hands in the dirt like I used to. I will do all the things I ever wanted. Without the limitations I had when I was with you. Send the damn wheelchair back, I’m done with it. When you think of me, remember the laughter, the family gatherings, the family trips, teaching the kids to ski, getting stuck in Bow Valley, Alberta and all the fun we had bowling and watching a bad movie. Remember Disneyland and Universal Studios and the rain in San Diego that should have been a bummer but we didn’t care because it was CALIFORNIA. Those are the things to remember and cherish. To my husband Jack, my children Allison (Vince) and Riley (Ha Jung) and my grandchildren (Ronan and Owen), just know I love you; that’s all you need to know. To my brother Wayne (Shirley), I need you to remember all the fun we had growing up on the farm and to my niece and nephew, Tracey and Trevor, it was wonderful to have you come and stay with us every summer. Lastly, to the staff at Bethania Mennonite Personal Care Home, I cannot express how blessed I was to have you as caregivers. There will be a special family gathering in the summer, so no funeral is planned (I asked for that). Please no flowers, if you wish, make a donation to a charity of your choice or better yet, do something nice for someone this week. ~ Love always, Wreatha
