DURNIN: Opal Ferne Durnin (nee Taylor) October 31, 1928 – January 11, 2016. On Monday, January 11, 2016 Opal Durnin, widow of Garfield Grant Durnin, Lumsden and District Heritage Home, Lumsden, SK died at the age of 87 years. A graveside funeral service will be held in the Fleming Community Cemetery, Fleming, SK on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. with Lynette Callfas officiating. A reception for family and friends will be held in the Red Barn Family Restaurant, Moosomin, following the service. Opal was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Grant in March, 2006, a son Scott, grandson Robert Lawford and son in law Patrick Stelmack; she is survived by her children Sherilyn (John) Lawford, Faye Stelmack, Roy (Susan) Durnin, Neil (Jean) Durnin; eleven grandchildren, thirteen great- grandchildren and one great- great-grandchild; her siblings Evelyn Gompf, Wesley (Isabel) Taylor, Joan Collins, Melvin Taylor and Bernice Martens.
