WOJNICZ: On Tuesday, January 26, 2016, Wilma Wojnicz (nee Sunaric) passed away, after a brief illness, at Dinsdale Personal Care Home at the age of 93 years. Predeceased by her husband Jozef, Wilma is survived by one son, Bruno, of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Born in Teslic, Bosnia-Hercegovina. Wilma and her mother later moved to Linz, Austria, emigrating to Canada following World War II. She settled in Brandon, where she met and married Jozef Wojnicz. While in Europe she studied to become a seamstress, and worked several jobs before finding work as a seamstress in Brandon, which she did until she retired. When not at work, Wilma enjoyed traveling, taking trips to Hawaii and Europe, as well as trips across North America. She also enjoyed music, especially opera. The Funeral Service will take place at Memories Chapel, 330 18th Street North, on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Fr. Patrick Neufeld, of St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church, officiating. Wilma will be laid to rest beside her husband at the Brandon Cemetery.
