PAZIUK: With sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Margaret Rose Paziuk, on February 10th, 2016, at the Brandon Regional Health Centre, with family by her side. Marg was born August 14th, 1937, in Grandview, MB. She was the eldest child of Anne and Metro Dubek. She met her sweetheart, and future husband, Robert Paziuk, while living on the farm near Grandview. The family later moved to another farm near Gilbert Plains. On April 24th, 1958, Marg married the love of her life, Bob, in Gilbert Plains. They lived in Uranium City for a year, where Marg worked at a bank, and Bob in the mines. Returning home, Bob joined Manitoba Hydro, where the two lived in various towns, before settling in Brandon in 1966. This is where they raised their family. Bob and two friends started Grand Valley Contracting, and in 1992 when Bob retired, he and Marg took over full time. Marg really enjoyed all the customer interactions, and hosting Christmas parties. One of Margs greatest joys was her vegetable garden and flower beds. She loved attending many sporting events involving her children and grandchildren. Marg was a wonderful cook, she volunteered with MADD, and she always enjoyed babysitting. She often took pleasure in visits from her friendly neighbors and close friends. In her later years, Marg loved watching the curling events on TV.Marg is survived by her husband of 57 years, Bob, daughter Patti (Leigh) McFarlane, sons Bill (Christine) and Gord (Kara-Lynne), grandchildren Rob (Martina), Kelsey, Kristen, and Michelle.
