WORTHINGTON: Percy Worthington 1930 - 2016. The family is saddened to share the news of the passing of Percy Worthington on February 26, 2016 in Winnipeg, Manitoba after a brief hospital stay. Born August 5, 1930 in Brandon, Manitoba he is pre-deceased by his wife Betty, parents Percy and Doris, brothers Stan (Vi), Tom (Winona), and Frank (Gladys) and survived by his daughter Teri (Kevin Coombs) of Toronto, sister Dorothy, niece Tanya (Bob Mitchell) of Carmen, nephew Mark (Regina Kimmich) of Australia. He is also remembered by sister-in law and brother-in-law Fran and Stan Toms of B.C. and their family Elaine, Ian and Leslie, Alana and Rod, and Paula and Jim. After a working life in Brandon including The Scott National Company and People's Market Place, Percy retired to Winnipeg with Betty, where he enjoyed retired life including regular trips to Assiniboia Downs where he was a part of an active community of racing enthusiasts. The family thanks Dr. Kotecha for his care and friendship and the nurses and care team at Grace Hospital. A family celebration of Percy's life will be held at a later date.
