BOLLMAN: It is with deep sorrow the family announces the death of Cecil Bollman. Cecil passed away peacefully at Bayside Personal Care Home, Killarney, MB on February 25, 2016 at the age of 81 years. Cecil was born to a large family of four brothers and three sisters on July 25, 1934. At the age of eight he and his brother Keith came to Justice to live with foster parents Perry and Helen Cox. Cecil loved farming and all it involved, preparing the soil, planting, watching the crops grow, raising livestock- cattle, pigs and chickens. Cecil married the love of his life and best friend Elaine Kolke. After trying several different jobs, they rented a farm. Ten years later in 1974 they purchased land. As there were no buildings a homestead was started; house, barn, cattle shed, a granary and hundreds of trees appeared at the corner of 5-12-17 N.W. Cecil was very proud of his farm and spent many hours working to beautify the yard. He had no desire to live any other place but Justice. To have a home and family his own was his object in life. He is survived by his dear wife of 61 years Elaine; his three chosen children son Ches (Lynne), daughter Colleen (Don) and son Randy; six grandchildren; twelve great- grandchildren and two sisters Doreen and June. Cecil was predeceased by his parents; foster parents Perry and Helen Cox; three brothers and wives Ellory and Myrtle, Keith and Shirley and Carl; sisters-in-law Lois Lyon and Myrna Bollman and brother-in-law Art Christensen. Cecil will always be remembered as a loving caring husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He had a great sense of humour and liked to joke with everyone. Funeral service was held Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Wheatland Chapel, Killarney, MB with Rev. Barb Jardine officiating. Interment will take place at Sparling Cemetery at a later date. Donations in memory of Cecil may be made to Bayside Personal Care Home, Box 5000, Killarney, MB, R0K 1G0.Wheatland Funeral Service204-523-7791 www.wheatlandfs.com
