MUNDAY: Robert (Bob), J.A. Passed away suddenly at his home March 16th with his wife at his side. He is survived by wife Bonnie (née Balkwill), daughter Dori (Paul) Lionello of Penticton, son W. Rob (Jenny) Munday MD, at Yale University in Connecticut and grandsons Lucas and Logan. Bob grew up in Brandon, Manitoba, worked in radio in Winnipeg, Melfort, SK and Castlegar, BC. In Trail he chose journalism at the Trail Times before he moved to Penticton. His heart was in sports and he enjoyed being the sports editor of the Penticton Herald for seventeen years. He also did some work for the Penticton Western and Oliver Chronicle. During the parenting years Bob focused on raising Dori & Rob and he supported and encouraged all of their endeavours. There were many years of weekends at hockey, tennis, gymnastics, and soccer events. He adored his young grandsons and looked forward to their growing years. Bob harboured no grudges and was known for his genuine warmth, kindness and respectful manner. He enjoyed people, sports, and life in general every day and was often in touch with his many friends. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered. A celebration of life will take place at a future date.
