HARVIE: Cheryl Diane Harvie, March 28, 1948 - March 19, 2016. It is with sadness and acceptance that we announce the passing of Cheryl, March 19, 2016, at the age of 67, at the Palliative Care Ward of BRHC, after a long and courageous battle. Mom was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. Left to cherish her memory are her children Michelle Harvie, Shane Harvie (Shari Couture); her grandchildren Taylor Foxon, (Mom Tammy Funk), Kaitlyn Harvie-Houle, William Slattery, Mikela and Brody Couture; and all Mom’s beautiful memories will be shared with her newest grandson due in a few weeks. Her mother Louise Royko, her five siblings, and nine nieces and nephews. Mom was predeceased by her father Frederick Steffens and first grandson Daniel Foxon-Harvie. Moms greatest joy in life was the time spent with her granddaughters, teaching them to dance with the wind in the trees, see the beauty in every bug and creature and find peace and laughter every day. We were able to fulfill Mom’s wishes to be at home with us the last eight months of her life. A time of visitation and celebration of her life will be held at The Kurve Clinic, 1321 Rosser Avenue, Saturday, April 2, 2016, 1:00-3:00 p.m. Private interment will take place at a later date at the Minnedosa Cemetery.
