WEIR: Hazel (nee Angus) passed away peacefully, with her daughters by her side, at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Sunday, April 3, 2016. Hazel will be lovingly remembered by daughters Maxine (Bill) Lawless, Patricia (Dieter) Pomietlarz; four grandchildren: David (Barbara), Kerri (J.C.), Cheryl (Greg), Darryl (Anita); seven great-grandchildren: Courtney, Cole, Sydney, Erin, Ashley, Matthew Douglas and Paige – they were so loved. Hazel was predeceased by her husband John Douglas, her parents, her two sisters and five brothers. She was the last of her dad’s generation in the family. The family would like to give special thanks to their Mother’s good friend and caregiver, Penny Sleshinski. In keeping with Hazel’s wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no formal service. Donations in memory of Hazel may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
