THOMPSON: Muriel Gould (née Lawrence) born on February 28, 1918 passed away to be with the Lord on April 3, 2016 at the age of 98. Muriel is survived by her two children: Lorraine Melson and Janet (Barry) Mills; grandchildren Angela (Cory) Smith, Greg (Jody) Melson, Kimberly (Dean) Penner, Cathy (Ken) Leinweber. Muriel is also survived by great grandchildren Amanda (Dustin), Ashley (Curtis), Alyssa, Kyle, Amy, Alison, Kaylee, Emily, Carter, and one great great granddaughter, Aimsley. Also left to mourn are sisters Gwen Ainsworth and Ruth Edwards; numerous nieces and nephews and families. Muriel was predeceased by husband Jack, parents George and Ethel Lawrence, brother Spencer Lawrence and son- in-law Neil Melson. A Funeral Service was held on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at College Heights Baptist Church, Prince George, B.C. A Graveside Service will be held at the Brandon Cemetery on Friday, April 15 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Barb Jardine officiating. A reception will follow at the George Brockie Fellowship Centre, 332-8th Street.
